About Future BY Energy
London-based energy assessors working across the UK, with more than 17 years’ experience.
Who we are
Future BY Energy Ltd is a London-based energy assessment company working across the UK. We help architects, developers, contractors and building owners get through planning and building control without paying for more than the project needs.
The company is led by Behdad Yazdani. Behdad graduated as a mechanical engineer and worked for consultancy firms for three years before starting Future BY Energy. He has more than 17 years' experience in energy assessment and is a Level 4 commercial energy assessor and an accredited SAP assessor, registered with Elmhurst Energy (assessor number EES/027276).
Before that, Behdad designed air conditioning systems and then worked as a project engineer at a mechanical and electrical consultancy, on heating and cooling design, SBEM calculations and renewable energy reports.
Behdad works with a team of freelance energy assessors and testers. That lets us cover SAP, SBEM, overheating, EPCs, TM44 inspections and site testing anywhere in the country. DECs, fire risk assessments, asbestos surveys and solar PV installation go to trusted partners. Our air testers are registered with the Elmhurst Airtightness Scheme and our sound testers with SITMA.

Recent projects
Conversion to five flats, Kidderminster. As-built SAP calculations and EPCs for a building converted into five flats in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. All five flats came out at C, and the EPCs were lodged on the government register.
Document storage warehouse, Park Royal. Level 4 TM44 air conditioning inspection for a 1,195 m² document storage warehouse in north-west London, covering three systems with a combined rated output of 127 kW. The certificate and report are lodged on the government register.
Shop and office building, Guildford, Surrey. Commercial EPC for a three-storey town centre building with a shop on the basement and ground floors and offices on the first floor, heated and cooled by air conditioning. The EPC is lodged on the government register.
Flats brought up from E to D, Colchester, Essex. SAP calculations and EPCs for flats in Colchester. Two flats came out at E; storage heaters on an Economy 7 tariff, together with the air test result, took them to D, and the EPCs were lodged at D.

How we work
- We say it straight. We tell you what will pass and what will not, before you spend money.
- We find the affordable route. The change that gets the result at the lowest cost, not the most expensive specification.
- We move fast. We work evenings and weekends when a deadline needs it.
- One team, planning to sign-off. Energy, overheating, water, air, sound and ventilation from the same drawings.
- We stay with the job. We answer building control's questions and update the calculations when the design changes.
What we believe
Price matters, but it should not be the only reason you pick your energy assessor. A cheap report that falls over at completion costs far more in redesign and delay. We would rather get it right at design stage. We'll get the job done.
Send us your drawings by email or WhatsApp. We will tell you what the project needs, what it costs and how long it takes.
